Gia Yetikyel is a Latine and Turkish lifestyle journalist covering fashion, beauty, entertainment, and travel with work featured in Vogue, Women’s Wear Daily, Footwear News, Business Insider and others. Raised in New York and currently based in Chicago, she’s usually scribbling down a new poem or telling a wild story to willing ears.

Gia is in a long-term relationship with creative writing, has an extensive experience in writing, editing, and fact checking, and holds multiple degrees from Northwestern University. She is currently a part-time social work graduate student at the University of Chicago in pursuit of becoming a licensed clinical social worker and therapist with a focus on sex and relationships.

When she’s not in class, Gia assists local businesses with social media and marketing plans. She shares her work, whether journalistic or creative, in hopes of inspiring empathy, belonging, and authenticity.
